Approval Framework (AWE) Online notification vs Batch Notification

Portal URI value is showing as the URL in Approval Framework (AWE) Email Notifications, instead of the value configured for the EMP_SERVLET URL.
URL in AWE Email Notification is Portal URI value.
Expected URL in AWE Email Notification to be value set for EMP_SERVLET URL in PeopleTools.
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Set EMP_SERVLET URL under PeopleTools,
2. Submit an AWE Transaction.
3. Observe URL in generated email notification.
